The Southwest Louisiana Juneteenth Committee is preparing for month-long Juneteenth celebration to commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States. Right now, SWLA is looking for candidates to enter their Juneteenth Pageant. The pageant is open to boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 19. The fee to enter is only $25. The talent portion of the pageant will require a talent of vocal, dance, twirl, gymnastics, musical instrument, or drama.
