The Louisiana High School Powerlifting Championship will be in the Cajundome March 22-25. This year will celebrate 40 years since the sport of powerlifting was introduced in Louisiana schools. Powerlifting began in 1982 but has only been a recognized LHSAA sport since 2016. To qualify for the state meet, lifters must qualify as one of the top ten best lifters in one of six divisions in each weight class.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Lifting will begin at 10 a.m. Admission is $20 per day.
