Doubt, a parable
'Doubt, a Parable' was written in 2004 by John Patrick Shanley. It won a Pulitzer Prize in 2005 for Drama, and a Tony for best play of the year, Cite Des Arts will be putting on their own production of the award-winning play. The production features Sandra Broussard as the stern nun, Sister Aloysius Beauvier, who believes that one of the priests at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church and school has been molesting a 12-year-old boy named Donald Muller. Sister Aloysius recruits a young, naive nun to assist her in monitoring the suspicious yet charismatic Father Flynn .
The play will run at Cite des Arts beginning with an opening night gala on Friday, May 19. The play will run Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. until May 28.
