Creole Heritage Month Exhibit: Celebrating Achievements and Contributions was created to celebrate those who have been contributing to movement and conquering diversity for the greater good of the community of people of Color. It was necessary to acknowledge what they have done and are doing. Although this exhibit will run throughout the creole Heritage Month, it was imperative we create something lasting when the month was over. This is why we created the Luxury Tablebook.              2nd Annual Creole Culture Day: Let's Talk, but in French was created to revitalize Creole French as it is a vanishing language. As you know out History has been diluted and the truth is reliant on stories generations before us. Along with the culture of a Boucherie, we felt the need to create a space where we contribute our part it keeping it alive best we can.

Officials said an investigation was initiated after deputies learned a correctional officer was bringing contraband into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. The investigation revealed the officer to be Alexander, who was then arrested.

All three adult suspects were booked into the Abbeville Police Department and transferred to the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Correction Center. The juvenile was booked into a Juvenile Detention Center in Jonesboro.

According to New Iberia Police, officers got a call about shots being fired at Amigo’s, a business at South Iberia Street and West Admiral Doyle Drive. On the scene, officers found a 20-year-old male victim, dead. The victim has yet to be identified.
