Two people arrested in high speed chase

Jennings police were led into Acadia parish after a suspect led them on a high speed chase on Tuesday.

Jennings Police Deputy Danny Semmes says the chase started at Fred Ruth Zigler Memorial Drive and ended in Crowley near the intersection of Third and Western Streets. The chase started at 2:30 PM when police made a traffic stop and the suspects then fled the scene. The pursuit led to I-10 eastbound with a speed exceeding 115 mph. While on I-10 the suspects threw narcotics out of the window. Police chased them to exit 80 into Crowley around the courthouse loop and onto Third Avenue.

Crowley PD, Acadia PD, and LA State Police assisted in the chase.

Anthony Duhon and Calvin Beroid of Jennings have been arrested on possible charges of aggravated flight, obstruction of justice, and aggravated assault of police officer.
