BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) – Today marks two year’s since three Baton Rouge police officers were killed and three more hurt when Gavin Eugene Long ambushed police on Sunday, July 17, 2016.
The ambush started around 8:30 a.m. and it took the lives of East Baton Rouge Parish Deputy Brad Garafola, Baton Rouge police Cpl. Montrell Jackson and Baton Rouge rookie officer Matthew Gerald.
East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore revealed his findings almost a year later.
