The Teurlings Catholic Rebels defeated the St. Thomas More Cougars 3-1 on Saturday in the Division II championship to earn the Rebels eighth-straight state title.
This championship breaks an LHSAA record for most consecutive state titles.
The Cougars won the first set 25-20.
Teurlings won the next three sets: 25-19, 25-19, 25-19, 25-20.
Rebels senior Cicily Hidalgo earned tournament MVP.
