Over 180 teams compete across the country on a weekly basis BEFORE college basketball’s best takes the floor: these are the “Manager Games.”
“These games can get pretty intense,” sophomore manager William Harrell admitted. “But, it all comes back to our love of the game.”
The game can also be a release from the long hours and constant attention the managers give to the team on scholarship.
“At the end of the day, it’s truly one of the coolest experiences in college basketball,” said senior LSU manager Mitchell Fillinger. “There are legends who have come through here, and now we can say we’re a part of that.”
Sports Director Brian Holland went to the Pete Maravich Assembly Center the night before the LSU Tigers were set to take on the Texas A&M Aggies to see what the hype was all about.
