Cajun Baseball ends season at Sun Belt Tournament

Sports

Two Sun Belt teams did get in, Coastal and Troy, most likely with a little better performance in the SBC Tournament, that could have been the Cajuns.

A lot of factors played into the Cajuns exit.  Mostly, the better play of Troy in the Cajuns final game of the tournament.

UL Head Coach Tony Robichaux isn’t making excuses for the season, and I asked coach if there is some comfort in knowing the amount of talent coming back, is ample.

Coach Robichaux says, “”We have Gunner on Friday’s, and Kole got every pitch behind the plate, so we are weathered at that position, and will have depth.  At 3rd, we have a great defender, and a guy who can get better as a hitter.  Our shortstop will only get better.  At second, it’ll be a guy who is a senior and will be a leader for us, and we have young people coming up at first, to help us out there.  A lot of opportunity for this team to get better in the future.”
