MORRILTON, Ark.(KARK) -There’s no doubt that being a twin is something special, but living to be 100 years old with your look-alike sibling is more than remarkable.
George and James Morrow of Morrilton celebrated their 100th birthday’s together surrounded by friends and family.
They’re not letting age define them. They’re still very active, funny and loved by so many people.
“Happy Birthday! What did you tell me…Happy Birthday.Oh same to you,” James and George said.
The twins sat side by side with smiles on their faces, surrounded by loved ones at Lonoke Missonary Baptist Church in Morrilton.
“To me I don’t think you can find a nicer bunch of people and I thank them for all they’ve done for us,” George said.
George and James Morrow celebrated a major milestone. The twins are 100 years old.
“Yeah I feel just as good as did 25 years ago,” James said.
They were born in 1919.
“To me I’d rather live back when I was a kid,” James said.
The secret to looking young and living a long life is simple.
“Well always be honest and truthful, don’t be afraid to work and leave the booze and wild women alone,” James and George said.
A sense of humor also goes a long way and while age is just a number, the twins still enjoy the simple things in life.
“Well I like to garden and I like to see stuff grow,” George said.
The pair also shared advice for the younger generation.
“Instead of looking at these phones…try to learn something,” James said.
They remember what it was like growing up.
“Yeah we argued,” James said.
They’re holding onto a special bond that they say will never be broken.
“I think the good lord had something to do with it,” George said.
The twins birthday is Wednesday, but they wanted to be around friends and family Sunday.
They said they’re going to keep living and enjoying life.
One of the twins even got his license renewed.
They have a younger sister named Jeanette Morrow who is 98 years old.
Their oldest sister Mabel Carter is 105.
