Lafayette Parish Sheriff Mark Garber announced today his intention to seek a second term in office and will run for reelection this October.
“The people of this Parish put their trust and faith in me to keep them safe. Their best interests have been at the forefront of every decision I have made since the day I was sworn in.
I have never asked a deputy to do anything I am not willing to do myself and will always be a strong advocate for the men and women protecting this community with me.
While we have accomplished much in my first term as Sheriff, I want to continue working to make this Parish a hard target for criminals and making smart advancements to decrease crime and increase presence in both the municipalities and in the unincorporated areas,” said Sheriff Garber.
