Gov. John Bel Edwards says it is time for those who are able to find jobs and go back to work, especially now that federal pandemic unemployment compensation has expired and Congress has yet to come up with a compromise to continue the funding.

BATON ROUGE, La.-  Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards will hold his first media briefing on Thursday afternoon to give updates on the state’s response to COVID-19 and the on-going Special Legislative Session, which began Monday.

The briefing will be held in the Governor’s Press Room at the Louisiana State Capitol building.
