University of Louisiana at Lafayette Police need the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest in an incident that occurred last month.  According to Public Information Officer, Sgt. Billy Abrams, a resident at Cajun Village apartments told police she was awakened by the sound of someone slowly turning the front doorknob of her apartment at 1:30 a.m.  The resident then stated to police that she woke her husband up and when he looked down the hallway, saw the silhouettes of two people entering through the front door.

Police say the male yelled at the suspects who then ran away in the direction of the maintenance sheds and coulee behind the apartments.  Police say one of the suspects was wearing a white T-shirt and possibly Converse shoes.

Police say evidence from the crime scene and information obtained from witnesses led to two persons of interest observed on video surveillance.  If you have any knowledge as to the identity of these individuals, please contact the UL Police Department at 337-482-6447.
