THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) – Authorities said a man was taken into custody on drug charges after more than 15 kilos of cocaine was found on a plane that landed in Thibodaux on Friday.

Louisiana State Police reported John Crow, 29, of Brownsville, Texas, was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and transactions involving drug proceeds.

Troopers said 15.6 kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of $468,000 was seized after the plane arrived at the Thibodaux Municipal Airport. They added Crow had $2,090 in cash on him. The plane was also confiscated.

Investigators said Crow had flown to Thibodaux from Brownsville. They added Crow was nervous when they talked to him and the drugs were found in his luggage during a search.
