Two suspects arrested on multiple charges in Kaplan

KAPLAN, La. (KLFY)- An attempted traffic stop led to the arrests of two men now facing multiple criminal charges.

On Monday afternoon, Kaplan Police officers attempted to stop a vehicle with a switched license plate. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and was later stopped in the alleyway between north LeMaire and north Frederick, the department said.

The driver, Ted Langlinais, was arrested on various traffic infractions along with two narcotics charges.

 Richard Hebert the passenger was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm in the presence of a narcotic and obstruction of justice.

The vehicle was also towed, police said.
