Suspects charged in connection to Louisiana Ave. shooting


LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- A Carencro man is facing an attempted second-degree murder charge in connection to a April 22 shooting on Louisiana Avenue.

Brandon Savoy was arrested on Monday, April 29, at the Lafayette Parish Courthouse after he was sentenced to seven years in prison for aggravated assault with a firearm and aggravated criminal damage to property, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

Lafayette police issued a warrant after shooting that injured one man at a Louisiana Avenue home. The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening. 

Savoy faces a $150,000 bond for the attempted murder charge. 

A second suspect, Shantianna Pierre, has also been arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, Dugas said.
