Suspect in church arson set to appear in court Monday

St. Landry Parish church arson suspect Holden Matthews is scheduled to be in court Monday morning.

District attorney Earl Taylor tells News Ten he has filed a motion to deny bail for Matthews, who was arrested Wednesday in connection with the three church fires.

Taylor says if enough evidence is presented, Judge James Doherty could deny bail.

The hearing on the motion will be held Monday, April 15th at 9 a.m.
