Rayne Police: Man charged with attempted murder after woman found stabbed in vehicle

RAYNE, La. (KLFY)– A 41-year-old Rayne man was arrested on attempted 2nd degree murder charges after he allegedly stabbed a woman over the weekend. 

Police say at around 3:54 a.m., Saturday officers responded to a report of a domesstic assault on Lyman Avenue.

On arrival, police say they found a female victim sitting inside a vehicle suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly said the victim was conscious and taken to a local hospital. 

Police say they responded to two crime scenes during the investigation. 

Raushe Tearez Turner was arrested and booked into the parish jail with a bond at $350,000.

Turner was also charged with aggravated burglary which carries a separate bond of $25,000.
