LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) President Donald Trump will return to Louisiana next week to tour Sempra Energy’s Cameron LNG Export Facility in Cameron Parish.
U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, chairman of the Energy and Natural Resources Subcommittee on Energy, annoounced the President’s arrival scheduled for May 14. Cassidy touted U.S. LNG exports to Europe, which he said have increased by 272 percent.
“I thank President Trump for his commitment to unleashing American energy and supporting Louisiana energy workers,” said Dr. Cassidy in a statement to media today. “Under Republicans’ watch, we’ve seen new investment in projects from the well head to the export facility—bringing billions to our state and creating good-paying jobs for Louisiana workers.”
