45-year-old Jon Day of Prairieville was arrested Saturday for 7th offense DWI by a trooper with Louisiana State Police.
The arrest came around 7 p.m. after Day was stopped on LA 73 near the Ascension Parish line when a trooper observed a white Chevrolet Corvette commit a traffic violation.
According to police, upon coming into contact with Day, the Trooper suspected that he was impaired.
Day performed poorly on a standardized field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for 7th Offense DWI, police said.
He refused to submit to a breath test and the Trooper obtained a search warrant for Day’s blood.
He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for 7th offense DWI, unlawful refusal of a chemical test, improper lane usage, and an obscured license plate.
