  • Lafayette firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home early Sunday morning.  The family was not home at the time of the fire. 
  • The State Fire Marshal’s Office arrested a Eunice man for setting fire to a shed that was part of his deceased mother’s former property.
  • A Scott man was arrested on multiple charges including attempted second degree murder. Officials say he threatened his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend with an axe.
  • An Arnaudville woman is in custody – accused of stealing flowers from a cemetery in Cecilia. The stolen items were recovered from her home.
  • A 34 year old Church Point woman is wanted in connection to a deadly shooting. A second suspect was arrested over the weekend.
