The Martin Luther King Association will be conducting a PoBoy fundraiser event in preparation for their upcoming Selma trip on February 28th and Casino Bus trip on February 24th. President of the association, Kissy Williams, says the Selma trip will help the participating youth “learn more about our history and our ancestors”. Vice President of the association, Dianne Borel says the youth will visit the Civil Rights museum and Rosa Parks museum followed by a reinactment of the “Bloody Sunday”.

The PoBoy fundraiser is expected to be held on Friday February 22, 2019 at 102 Begnaud Dr. from 10:00am to 1:00pm. All proceeds from this fundraiser will directly support the two trips.

The association is also accepting online donations through their GoFundMe page as well.
