Martin Luther King III to celebrate reduced violence at “Thank You Baton Rouge” event

BATON ROUGE, La (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) – Martin Luther King III will join the Urban Specialists and Baton Rouge leaders at a historic ceremony for the city of Baton Rouge. 

A host of celebrities, including Deion Sanders, and community leaders  will come together for a special CourseCon “Thank You Baton Rouge” event.

The event takes place Sunday, at the Raising Cane’s River Center starting at 6 p.m. 

More than 2,000 people are expected to attend, including students from Southern University, Louisiana State University and nearby universities.

The hearse that carried prominent civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.’s body will be unveiled for the first time since his death at this historical occasion, WVLA reports. 

This celebration is free and open to the public as long as you register.
