LPSS Student ID's now work as Library Card

LAFAYETTE, (KLFY) - School issued IDs for Lafayette Parish public school students now double as a library card, allowing all students access to check out books and access online resources with no late fees.  

LPSS Students can check out books, DVDs, audiobooks, magazines and games at any public library location in the parish, using their school ID. Best of all, there are NO fines on any late item.

LPSS Student ID Cards now serves as one of their most important school supplies: A Public Library Card.

Students may already have a library card. If so, they will have two separate library accounts that they can use.

If you do not want your student’s  information provided to the library for this library card program, then you may opt-out by contacting the library at 261-5781.
