Lafayette man arrested in connection with stabbing roommate


(The Advertiser)- A man was arrested in connection with stabbing his roommate, Lafayette Police said. 

At about 6:45 a.m. Monday, LPD responded to a call about a disturbance between two roommates, spokeswoman Cpl. Bridgette Dugas told The Advertiser.

When police arrived at the apartment complex in the 100 block of Westwood Drive, which is located off West Congress Street, they found a man who had been stabbed. 

Joshua St. Germaine was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with attempted second-degree murder. The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, Dugas said. 

Germaine is being held in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on a $100,000 bond.
