Lafayette firefighters left for South Carolina Tuesday to assist with Hurricane Florence recovery

A team from the Lafayette Fire Department left for South Carolina Tuesday morning to assist in rescue operations.

Seven firefighters will join other members from the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office task force, for a 14 day stint.

They will help first responders in the flood ravaged area from Hurricane Florence.
