Jeanerette teen caught after chase

ST. MARY PARISH, La. - A Jeanerette teen is behind bars after leading officers on a chase. 

Authorities say they were patrolling Four Corners when the encountered Jamiyon Bolden.  During the stop, the suspect fled on foot into a cane field.  During the foot chase, officials say Bolden brandished a weapon from his waistband.  The suspect was then later caught with the assistance of the Iberia Parish Sheriff's K-9 unit.

Authorities say Bolden was also wanted on charges of assault with a firearm. He is being held in jail on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a firearm and Illegal carrying of a weapon.

No bond has been set at this time.
