  • Voters in Eunice said ‘yes’ to quarter cent sales tax to fund public safety salaries. Jailers, clerks, dispatchers and firefighters will receive a bump in pay.
  • Two suspects have been arrested for attempted first-degree murder after a man was shot in the parking lot of the Jennings Walmart last month.
  • A 9 year old Duson boy suffered moderate injuries in a crash when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a pick up truck Sunday afternoon.
  • It’s National Hurricane Preparedness Week. The IRS is encouraging everyone to make an emergency plan. They say to update it annually, to backup key documents, document valuables, and to beware of scams or fraud.
