JEFF DAVIS PARISH, La.(KLFY)- An Iowa man is accused of raping a 17-year-old victim he allegedly met via Skype.

On Monday, Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s deputies obtained an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Justin Bruney.

Detectives received information from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s office that Bruney had allegedly been conversing with a teen on Skype.

Bruney allegedly picked the victim up from her home on April 12, 2019, and took her from Calcasieu into Jeff Davis Parish to Iowa.

“The victim reported she was raped by Bruney and then forced to take a shower before he would drive her back to her home,” the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office said today.

Bruney was arrested by Calcasieu deputies on April 16 on the warrant from 31st judicial district court for a third degree rape.

He was taken to Jeff Davis Parish jail and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
