Diocese of Lafayette communications director and former longtime KLFY anchor Blue Rolfes received the Pillar of the Community award Thursday evening.
It was handed out during the Foodnet Fundraiser banquet and casino night at The Petroleum Club.
The night was part of an evening honoring the works of Foodnet founder Marcelle Citron.
” [It’s] a tremendous honor and I’m humbled to be chosen to receive this honor in her memory. She was an incredible pioneer in giving in our community. It’s an incredible honor.” Rolfes said.
Citron passed away in March 2018.
In addition to being the founder of Foodnet, Citron was co-owner and vice president of Hub City Ford.
