Driver identified in deadly crash that killed Lafayette woman


Lafayette police are investigating a deadly accident on Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

Police say 39-year-old Tanoka Janezich was killed in the Sunday evening crash. A passenger, reportedly one of Janezich’s children, was also injured.  Authorities say her vehicle was struck head-on by another car driven by a 48-year-old man.

Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash.  Police have arrested 48-year old Jamie Earl Gray of Lafayette. 

He is charged with Vehicular Homicide and OWI as well as other traffic violations. 

A GofundMe page has been created to aid Janezich’s family.
