Boxer arrested for domestic abuse, child endangerment in Acadia Parish

MIRE, La. (KLFY)- A professional boxer is facing a charge of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment after an alleged confrontation with a woman and her babysitter.   
 
Mason Menard, 30, of Mire, was arrested and booked on Jan. 20. He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on a $5,000 bond. 
 
Menard is a professional boxer who goes by the name “Rock Hard Mighty”. 
 
His arrest stems from a complaint filed on January 4, regarding a disturbance in the 5000 block of the Mire Highway. 
 
During the investigation, the female complainant and her babysitter “were attempting to exchange custody of her child with the child’s father”, the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
 
During this exchange, the suspect is accused of hitting the victim. The victim received minor injuries and reported the incident immediately, the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
