Authorities respond to possible shots fired at Lafayette apartment complex


Lafayette Police responded a call on the grounds of the Bridgeway Apartment Complex on Dulles Saturday night around 10:30.
Police have not said about what was going on.

People on scene said they heard gunfire.
That has not been confirmed by authorities.
 We will update the story as more information becomes available. 


Corporal Bridgette P. Dugas said, “Upon arrival officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.”

According to the victim, four suspects entered his apartment in an attempt to commit a robbery.

Authorities say he was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The investigation into the incident remains on-going. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call Lafayette Police or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
