Agents arrest two in narcotics investigation in Erath

ERATH, La. (KLFY)- After a lengthy investigation, agents executed a search warrant at 11124 La Highway 339 in Erat on Oct. 18.

During the search, agents encountered two occupants, one of which was wanted on multiple warrants. Patrick Joiner, 51, of Abbeville, was placed under arrest.

A search of the residence resulted in a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, suspected drug proceeds, a firearm and assorted items of drug paraphernalia being located.

Joiner was subsequently charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II, (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug Free Zone.

 Kelli Romero, 36, of Abbeville, was also arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II, (Methampetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds, Possession with intent to Distribute Schedule III, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug Free Zone.
