Acadiana Mall closes Thanksgiving, reopens Black Friday

Acadiana Mall will be closed on Thanksgiving Day again this year, it said today. 

Doors will reopen at 6 a.m. on Black Friday for door busters, giveaways and great deals from everyone’s favorite retailers.

This year’s Black Friday festivities are as follows:

• The first 150 people in line at Santa’s Workshop (between Main Entrance and Center Court) will receive a mystery retailer gift card, amounts vary. One per person, ages 18 and older.

• Gumbo Entertainment will be pumping out the jams and giving away hourly prizes from 6am-2pm! Shoppers can enter for a chance to win these prizes at the DJ Booth in Center Court (ages 18 and older).

• Lafayette Coca-Cola will be on-site inviting guests to try out their special HUG Machine. When guests give the vending machine a big hug, it will dispense a complimentary 12oz Coke product.

• Guests will be encouraged to visit a selfie station, located near the DJ Booth. Guests can get creative with the props, snap a pic and share the fun on social media

. “Our doors will be open at 6 a.m. so shoppers can begin the hunt for great gifts for everyone on their list,” said Jamie Stelly, Marketing Manager for Acadiana Mall.

“We’re excited to celebrate the start of the holiday shopping season on Black Friday with door busters, hourly giveaways and more.”
