ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY)- Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson is addressing rural flooding, which has impacted roads and prompted some opportunistic crawfish harvesting

According to Gibson, it’s a safety issue and deputies are ticketing drivers illegally parked on roadways where there is no shoulder.

As for the fishing of crawfish loose from overflowing ponds into ditches, he’s asking citizens not to do that, too.

“First of all, it takes from the crawfish industry,” the sheriff said.
