Magnitude 5.9 earthquake strikes off Oregon coast

FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck Thursday morning off the Oregon coast, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake struck around 8 a.m. 177 miles west-northwest of Bandon, Oregon.

The U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center reported a tsunami is not expected from the temblor.
