LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) Attorney Cle’ Simon said he and his partner Kevin Duck sent a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell urging him to take action to overturn the game or force a rematch.
Simon and Duck join New Orleans attorney Frank D’Amico, who filed a lawsuit today, Goodell to force a re-play of all or part of the game.
The attorneys says they are hoping the letter will set a new precedent for unique situations like that happened Sunday.
“I’m not doing this for a publicity stunt. I’m doing this because I am a huge NFL fan, a big Saints fan and a member of the Who Dat Nation. And my friend and colleague, Kevin, feels the same way and feels as strongly as I do,” Simon said.
“In fact, we’d like to see the commissioner do the right thing and excessive his authority and bring about change that’s needed. Ultimately, though long term, we have a situation that we don’t want to see happen again.”
