During the holidays, the front room at the Miller house in Iota is where the Christmas tree goes.
But on December 26th, Mardi Gras takes over.
That’s because famed Mardi Gras costume maker, Miss Jackie Miller, has some serious work to do.
Each year Miss Jackie makes about 30 hand made costumes with matchig caps. Miss Jackie also makes Mardi Gras masks by hand.
Want a Mardi Gras costume, cap, or mask from Miss Jackie? You’ll have to make the trip to Tee Mamou Mardi Gras on Mardi Gras day.
Miss Jackie will have a booth set up in the street selling her new children’s book and Mardi Gras costumes.
