State Police are investigating a shooting incident that involved a Lake Charles Police Officer that led to a man’s death.
State Troopers say the officer responded to a complaint at a gas station about 26-year-old Juston Joseph Landry threatening someone else with a gun.
That officer found Landry about a block away.
State Police say that during the encounter, the officer discharged his weapon and struck Landry.
He collapsed in a nearby parking lot, was taken to a hospital and was later pronounced dead.
No officers were injured, State Police say.
