NEW ORLEANS (WWL-TV) — Two people are in jail after police said they broke into an Algiers business and stole food and beer from the walk-in freezer.

On Thursday just after midnight, officials said Tosheam Dudley, 46, and Jessica Gorsuch, 31, were caught on surveillance video cutting the lock off the side gate of a restaurant in the 100 block of Delaronde Street.

Police said the two entered the walk-in freezer and took several cases of meat and beer, putting the food in a shopping cart. They reportedly came back about an hour later, taking more food, before putting it in a car and driving off, police said.

Fifteen pounds of pork, 30 pounds of catfish, 20 cases of beer and two cases of bacon were missing from the restaurant, police said.

Both Dudley and Gorsuch are facing simple burglary and criminal damage to property charges.
