An enormous alligator was seen coming out of the waters at the Grand Isle beach on Saturday.
Lauren Carmouche Groves posted pictures on social media and said the gator was seen on the beach by the peir in state park.
Alligator mating season last from April until June, a time when alligators will be more active, more visible and more aggressive as they mate, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Do not approach, officials advise. Instead, call 911 or your local Wildlife and Fisheries Office.
