(WRDW) Richmond County, Georgia deputies had their hands full early Friday morning.
They came face to face with an alligator on a street.
Deputies got the call around 12:45 am Friday after someone walking heard the gator hissing.
It took at least seven deputies to get the gator off the road and onto the sidewalk. They waited and called DNR. Deputies no one would be able to help.
So they took matters into their own hands. Deputies bought some rope and duct tape and got to work.
It took them about two hours to wrangle the four foot gator. It even broke free a few times, but deputies were able to wrangle it and get in the back of their patrol vehicle.
Thankfully, they were able to get the animal to safety.
