LAFAYETTE, La. (The Advertiser)- The superintendent of Vermilion Parish schools has applied for the top position in the Lafayette Parish School System.
Applications for the one-year term of interim superintendent had to be postmarked by March 20 and mailed to a post office box in downtown Lafayette, which will remain locked until April 1.
Jerome Puyau, superintendent in Vermilion the last seven years, made his application public this week. Puyau sent out emails to Vermilion Parish principals letting them know he applied, according to VermilionToday.com.
No other applicants are known at this time because the box remains unopened
