NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY)- UPDATE: Another woman has been charged in connection with a shooting that injured a teen on Dec. 23 in New Iberia.
Laura Savoie, 20, faces one count of aggravated assault.
“These charges are related to an incident which occurred days prior to the shooting where Laura Savoie used a vehicle she was driving and attempted to strike a male subject who had a prior relationship with Aries Antoine,” the department said.
Aries Antoine, 21, was arrested on Dec. 25 on one count of attempted second degree murder and one count of aggravated assault.
The investigation is ongoing.
ORIGINAL STORY: The New Iberia Police Department is searching for a 21-year-old suspect wanted on connection with the shooting of a teen on Sunday.
On that evening NIPD investigators were called to the scene of a shooting on the 900 block of Oak Street.
The victim, a 15-year-old male, was airlifted to a Lafayette hospital with moderate injuries. He listed in stable condition.
Investigators were able to identify a suspect. Arrest warrants were obtained for Aries Antoine for attempted second degree murder and aggravated assault.
Antoine is believed to be operating a grey 2010 Honda Accord with Louisiana license plate 313BJE.
