University Of Louisiana holds vigil for victims of Florida deadly school shooting


Students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette gathered to remember those killed in the Florida school shooting.

The 17 people killed at Marjory Stoneman high school were remembered at a candlelight vigil. 

The vigil was held in the student union courtyard.

There were a number of speakers at tonight’s event.    

Louisiana Dean of Students Margarita Perez says students, teachers, and staff members at all schools and universities deserve to feel safe.
