Two suspects have been arrested for attempted first-degree murder after a man was shot in the parking lot of the Jennings Walmart last month.
Police Chief Danny Semmes said they received an anonymous tip identifying a suspect, and through witness identifications, identified and arrested 18-year-old Nelson Freeman of Welsh on charges of attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery, and possession of marijuana.
A further investigation led police to identify 18-year-old Javonte J. Pete, of Jennings, according to Semmes.
Both were arrested on charges of armed robbery and attempted first-degree murder.
Additionally, Freeman was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana.
The shooting, on April 15, sent one man to a local hospital.
