Teenagers are now leading the conversation of technology. In Lafayette, Mozilla’s Gigabit Community Fund is hosting its first Teens Teaching Technology Community Event where residents of all ages and backgrounds will get hands-on with the technology of today.
This open and engaging event will give residents of all ages and backgrounds ways to learn more about the internet, internet-connected devices and exploring the internet through our cell phones – to deepen learning, reading and participating on the internet.
Presentations on library resources, exploring the world of phone applications and even virtual reality will take place.
Youth will become teachers and leaders for this event, sharing their skills and knowledge with fellow family members, friends and neighbors about a multitude of ways technology can help to make our lives better.
The event is taking place Tuesday, May 8 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at N. P. Moss Preparatory Academy.
