VERMILION PARISH, La. (KLFY)- Suspects in Vermilion Parish are facing several drug charges.
According to Sheriff Mike Couvillon, the Vermilion Municipal and Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force made the following arrests for narcotics related offenses within the parish.
Colley Mclendon Jr. 35, of Erath, arrested for possession of Schedule I narcotic (THC) vape pen, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia
On April 29, Lawrence Green, 36, was pulled over at a traffic stop in which a narcotics investigation ensued, authorities said.
“Agents enlisted the aid of the Abbeville Police Department K-9 unit,” authortities said. “After a positive K-9 alert on the vehicle was indicated, a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 783 hits of MDMA (Ecstasy), along with several other drugs.”
Green was arrested for possession with the intent to distribute MDMA, possession with the intent to distribute Xanax, possession with the intent to distribute Oxycodone, possession with the intent to distribute Methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of Promethazine, possession of THC vape pen, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
