ARNAUDVILLE, La (KLFY) – Excitement is mounting as cast members of the CBS television soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful” are headed to town to be apart of a cancer benefit being hosted by The Little Big Cup restaurant.
“Oh I’m so excited,” said Arnaudville resident, Haley Dauphine. “I can’t wait till they come.”
The Little Big Cup restaurant owner, Sanjay Maharaj, says this all came about after a recent conversation with cast member, Katherine Lang, who plays Brooke Logan on the show.
“I learned that she lost her grandparents and dad to cancer and ever since that she’s been a huge advocate of cancer awareness and working for charities that support that,” said Maharaj.
Lang will also be joined by two other co-stars.
“Winsor Harmon who plays Thorne, and he’s actually from Crowley, so he’s excited to come back home to be apart of this important event; and John McCook who plays Eric,” said Maharaj.
Maharaj says they’re expecting to sell about 200 tickets to guests from near and far.
“There’s a couple flying in from Boston for the event and a guy flying in from Rhode Island specifically for the event,” said Maharaj.
Maharaj says most of all he and his co-owner are just excited to bring in these tv stars for a good cause.
“The response has been phenomenal,” said Maharaj. “There are alot of “Bold and Beautiful” fans here in Acadiana.”
“I watch it every day of the week, on the weekends I have it recorded to rewatch, I love it,” said Dauphine.
As for Dauphine, who happens to be a huge fan, she’s already counting down the days.
“Oh I’m super excited. I can’t wait!,” said Dauphine. “I can’t believe they’re coming down, wow! I’m going to have to see it to believe it.”
The cancer benefit will take place at The Little Big Cup restaurant in Arnaudville on Saturday, August 13 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 for the event. For more information call (337) 754-7147.
